I started posting a bunch of Glorantha-related articles on my personal website, some of which were mentioned in recent episodes of the podcast, so I figured I would advertise them here too.
The first one was mentioned in our recent episode about the Reminiscences of Paulis Longvale:
- A Conspyramid of Chaos in Glorantha, in which I write about how I use Chaotic cults in my games, taking inspiration from criminal organizations, and using Night’s Black Agents’ “conspyramid” system.
Then there’s the series of articles in which I read the classic RuneQuest 2nd edition boxed set, one bit at a time:
- Reading Classic RuneQuest: Preamble
- Reading Classic RuneQuest: Open Box!
- Reading Classic RuneQuest: Basic Role-Playing
- Reading Classic RuneQuest: The Introduction Chapter
- Reading Classic RuneQuest: The First Glorantha Map
Finally, I wrote a couple of articles criticizing somewhat-recent trends in Glorantha publications and fandom:
- Getting Glorantha Back Into Play, in which I show how official Gloranthan publications have made the lore increasingly detailed and complex, while sacrificing “playable material”, and how I’m leaving RuneQuest Glorantha behind for a while to address this problem.
- Glorantha’s “Lore Baseline”, in which I write a bit more about the “lore problem” of Glorantha, and offer a simple way to play without having to always read more lore to answer basic questions.
