Friend of the show Brian Duguid is the 2026 recipient of the Greg Stafford Memorial Award for Gloranthan Fandom, which is well deserved! You can follow the link to Chaosium’s website to read Brian’s acceptance speech.
The article mentions Brian’s recent Jonstown Voices book as this year’s notable achievement. I contributed a little chapter on Newtlings based on my research for Bog Struggles. Of course, Brian did much more than this book, from several issues of the legendary Tales of the Reaching Moon fanzine in the 1990s, to several other Jonstown Compendium titles such as The Winter King, The Children of Hykim, and The Voralans. He is an avid collector of all things Gloranthan, and has been helping his fellow collectors with efforts such as An Unofficial Buyer’s Guide to RuneQuest & Glorantha. Brian is also a burgeoning Greg Stafford scholar, recently starting the Gloranthology blog where he takes us behind the scenes of Glorantha’s history.
On this humble podcast we’ve had Brian as a guest to talk about the Hsunchen, and we should probably have him again!
